 Cuba has a highly developed artistic world, with an impressive state run infrastructure dedicated to the arts. As well as actors from the domestic film and television industries there exists an abundance of talents through the different theatrical and dance organisations as well as numerous first class musicians. There are no unions as such and rates for actors and extras are very competitive. Casting facilities are excellent, and tapes can be sent to you via DHL, and casting photos can be e-mailed from Bay Vista's Havana office. Cuba has approximately eleven million inhabitants, a fourth of whom live in Havana. They are a happy mixture of Europeans and Africans and integration over the years has produced some quite unique looks to be found nowhere else in the Caribbean. |
